An integrated approach to build a equitable and empowered society
OUR VISION
Our vision is to transform the lives of people in India through education, by providing financial assistance and recognition to them, across age groups and income strata.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to focus on income generation, small skill industries, mother and child health, and cultural activities, empowering children, youth, women, and seniors. By aligning community needs with CSR visions, the Trust fosters shared value and sustainable development.
Through the Women Self-Help Group (SHG) Formation Program, we empower women by encouraging them to form groups of 10-20 members from the same community and economic background. These groups collectively produce items such as frocks, salwar-kurtas, uniforms, jewelry, handicrafts, pickles, and papads, enabling them to earn an income. Additionally, we guide them in saving for their future, accessing banking facilities, and exploring opportunities for starting their own businesses or finding local employment. This initiative fosters financial independence, skill development, and self-reliance among women, transforming their lives and contributing to community growth.
To address unemployment and underemployment among rural youth, Yashwant Charitable Trust promotes Joint Liability Groups (JLG) for young men and women. Supported by NABARD and linked with Canara Bank credit schemes, this program empowers groups of 5-8 members in the same neighborhood with the following features:
1. Training and Capacity Building: Participants undergo training to become eligible for bank linkage.
2. Business Planning: Groups develop business plans to launch micro-enterprises.
3. Skill Development: Members receive skill training from local training institutes.
4. Credit Access: Groups borrow funds to establish their micro-enterprises.
5. Structured Approach: Weekly meetings and repayments ensure financial discipline and sustainability.
This initiative fosters entrepreneurship, financial independence, and skill enhancement, transforming rural youth into active contributors to their communities.
It is the small change that makes the biggest impact.
